Listen as Maddie Posick’s proud dad calls her first goal as a Badger

MADISON (WKOW) — Broadcaster Brian Posick has called plenty of goals as a hockey play-by-play man, but he won’t soon forget Saturday’s Badgers women’s hockey game.

Posick was in the broadcast booth Saturday doing play-by-play for the Badgers’ game against Penn State for Fox Sports Wisconsin.

That’s when his daughter, Stoughton native Maddie Posick, scored her first career goal for the Badgers.

Brian, as best he could, kept the call professional, but listeners could tell it was a proud-father moment.

Posick, a junior, helped the Badgers finish off Penn State 7-0 on the night the team hoisted its National Championship banner.

Brette Pettet and Abby Roque each scored two goals. Sophie Shirley and Daryl Watts also netted goals for the Badgers.

Wisconsin improves to 3-0-0 on the season. The Nittany Lions fall to 0-1-2.
