MADISON (WKOW) — The security guard fired from the Madison Metropolitan School District for using a racial slur will start his new job at the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County.
Marlon Anderson was fired after an incident at West High School. He said a student called him the n-word and he told the student not to, repeating the word back.
Since Anderson’s firing, a massive protest was held Friday and calls for change have been ongoing.
Anderson met with leaders at the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, who hired him as the director of program operations. The position is temporary during Anderson’s appears process at the district.
School Board President Gloria Reyes said she would move forward with the appeals process Monday morning.
