MADISON (WKOW) — Dueling proposal to fix Wisconsin’s roads has lawmakers at odds, and Department of Transporation Secretary-designee Craig Thompson called Republicans plan “unfair.”

Democrats and Thompson back Gov. Tony Evers’ proposal to raise the gas tax by 8 cents a gallon, which targets all travelers filling up at the pump. But Republicans don’t want to raise taxes and feel the gas tax is already too high. Representative Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) and member on the joint finance committee defends the GOP plan.

Plus, Congressman Mark Pocan (D-WI) explains why his House in Congress continues to advocate to begin the process towards impeachment against President Donald Trump.
