Police arrest suspect in Lake Delton Quick Mart robbery

LAKE DELTON (WKOW) – Police arrested a man on Friday for the Jan. 4 robbery of a Wisconsin Dells Quick Mart.

Wesley Utterberg, 50, faces charges of robbery. He is currently in the Rock County Jail on unrelated charges.

When released, Lake Delton police will take custody of him and he will be booked into the Sauk County Jail, according to a Lake Delton Police Department news release.

Police responded Jan. 4 to the Dells Quick Mart gas station, located at 152 West Munroe Avenue, for a report of robbery.

The robber was gone by the time police arrived. When reviewing surveillance video, he was seen entering the store at about 7 a.m.

The robber entered the front door to the gas station and demanded money from the clerk and left about a minute later, according to police.

After receiving a tip from Sauk County Crimestoppers, police interviewed people in three different counties

Shortly after, police found the suspect’s vehicle in Rock County. After searching Utterberg’s vehicle, they found evidence of the robbery, according to police.
