Search warrant leads to evidence of meth lab in Mineral Point home

MINERAL POINT (WKOW) — The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says two people were arrested Thursday morning, after an executed search warrant led to evidence of a meth lab in a Mineral Point home.

According to a news release, officials executed the search warrant at a residence on High St. around 10 a.m. Thursday.

The Richland-Iowa-Grant County Drug Task Force assisted, along with the Department of Criminal Investigations and Mineral Point Police Department.

Authorities say the search disclosed evidence of meth paraphernalia and manufacturing.

Jeremiah E. Rector and Crystal L. Browning were arrested on tentative charges of intentionally disposing of methamphetamine waste, possession of meth paraphernalia, manufacturing meth, possessing meth, and possessing methamphetamine precursors, according to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.

Mineral Point Fire Department and Mineral Point EMS were also on scene to assist in the event of a fire or medical emergency, as well as the Iowa-Vernon hazardous materials response team.

Officials say this investigation is ongoing.
