MAPLE BLUFF (WKOW) — Gov. Tony Evers is wrapping up his first week in office and now he’s moved into his new home.

The governor and first lady Kathy hosted an open house at the executive residence on Saturday afternoon. People took tours through the house and grounds in Maple Bluff.

The governor has put his own personal touch on the mansion, adding pictures of his family.

Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes says the administration plans to continue being open like this with the public.

“We want to make sure people know that this is what the administration is going to be about going forward, being accessible, taking in ideas,” he told 27 News.

Lt. Gov. Barnes says the administration plans to focus on school funding, healthcare and protecting the environment over the next four years.
