UPDATE: Woman killed in Rock Co. ATV accident identified

UPDATE (WKOW)  —  The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department has released the name of a woman who died following an ATV accident Thursday night in the Town of Turtle.

Stacey V. Duke, 46, of Beloit, died shortly after she was taken to a local hospital from the crash in the 7900 Block of Butterfly Road.

Preliminary results of a forensic exam confirm that Ms. Duke’s death was the result of injuries sustained when her all-terrain vehicle struck a fixed object. She was riding the ATV alone when the accident happened.

Her death remains under investigation by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Natural Resources and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department.


TURTLE (WKOW) — Officials in Rock County are investigating the death of a 46-year-old Beloit woman.

According to a release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was driving an ATV south on the grassy shoulder of S Butterfly Rd. in Turtle Thursday, shortly before 11:30 p.m., when she hit a power pole and was thrown.  She died from serious injuries at the hospital.

The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the woman’s name at this time.
