UPDATE: Highway 14 between Evansville and Janesville reopens following earlier crash

EVANSVILLE (WKOW) — All lanes in both directions have reopened following a crash about noon Thursday on U.S. Highway 14 between Evansville and Janesville.

The crash happened between Cassidy and Fellows roads, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

A car waiting to turn left was rear-ended, forcing it into oncoming traffic where it was hit head-on by a pickup truck. The passengers of the two vehicles in the head-on crash suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

The car that originally attempted to turn left then caught fire, however drivers in a passing cement truck stopped to extinguish the fire.
