Capital City Sunday: Josh Kaul & Reporter Roundtable

MADISON (WKOW) — Democratic candidate for Attorney General Josh Kaul compares his career as a prosecutor with Republican opponent Brad Schimel. Kaul, whose majority of his career was spent as a prosecutor in Baltimore, discusses how he would have handled the backlog of untested rape kits differently.

Kaul also weighs in on Schimel’s Affordable Care Act lawsuit that would strip away health care protections. Kaul supports protecting preexisting conditions and hiring more staff to reduce the waiting period crime labs send in DNA, drugs and gun evidence.

Plus, statehouse reporters Scott Bauer (AP) and Mark Sommerhauser (WSJ) breakdown U.S. Senate debate and biggest issues ahead for the Governor’s race.
