BARRON COUNTY (WQOW) – Neighbors, close friends, and the community showed their support for the Closs family during a candle light vigil at St. Peters Catholic Church on Tuesday.

Many members of the community arrived at the vigil with heavy hearts, as so many unanswered questions still remain.

“Everyone is feeling very helpless right now,” Melissa Salmonson, friend of the Closs family, told News 18.

Helpless and terrified, desperate for answers and with very little information on Jayme’s whereabouts or what happened to her parents, people came together at the vigil to pray.

“I think being able to come together as family and friends and being able to pray together, and maybe just feel like those prayers are helping in some way will maybe just make us feel a little better,” Salmonson said.

A blue and green ribbon was handed out to everyone as a symbol for Jayme. Blue is Jayme’s favorite color and green, the color for missing children. The ribbon’s will be worn until Jayme returns.

Out of respect for the privacy of the family, no media was allowed into the church during the service.
