Rock County voters approve marijuana, “dark store” referendums

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) — Rock County voters approved both advisory referendums on the ballot Tuesday.

Voters approved an advisory referendum on legalizing marijuana by a vote of 46,589 to 20,746.

Voters also approved a referendum supporting efforts to close what’s called the “dark store” loophole, where businesses appeal for lower property taxes as if their buildings were vacant.
