MIDDLETON (WKOW) — 27 News teamed up with the Marine Corps Reserve to do some shopping on Thursday and help make the holidays a little brighter for families in need.

The Marines raised $6500 to help Toys for Tots.

“This is the reason we have Christmases for those who otherwise couldn’t. We try to help as many people as we can,” said Sgt. David Williams.

Meteorologists Bob Lindmeier and John Zeigler and Anchor George Smith helped pick out toys at the Mattel Store in Middleton.

They’ll be given out for Christmas.

You can drop off toys at the WKOW studio until Monday, December 17 at 9 a.m.
