FITCHBURG (WKOW) — Fitchburg police arrested three people found inside a stolen car early Saturday morning.
According to a press release, Fitchburg police saw the stolen car at the intersection of Coho St. and Post Rd.
The car sped off before officers had the chance to stop it. Two other Fitchburg officers located the car later near Seminole Highway and Lilac Lane.
The suspects in the car drove to get away from police until they crashed into a snowbank at the dead end of Lilac Lane. Then, all four people inside the car ran away.
The Fitchburg police K-9 dog, Drago found the driver. A Fitchburg police officer and Dane County sheriff’s deputy was able to find two of the three passengers.
The driver, a 16-year-old male, was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on charges of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and resisting an officer.
The two passengers are 14-year-old females. They were also taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on the same charges as the driver.
