CHIPPEWA FALLS (WKOW) — For the first time in 23 years, the Leinenkugel Brewing Company has welcomed a new brewmaster into its family.

John Hensley is Leinie’s 11th brewmaster. As a brewmaster, he oversees all brewing at Leinie’s.

After Hensley learned more about beer and the brewing process, it all started to flow together. He refined his senses and says he’s learning more every day.

“When I fell into it, I saw really it takes everything I know and have learned, and really applies it to what I do every day … The taste, the smell, the look of a beer, that you really learn over time and experience with your product,” he said.

Hensley says he takes pride in the Leinenkugel name and its legacy and he’s looking to leave a lasting impression in Chippewa Falls.
