UPDATE (WKOW) — The suspect and victim rent rooms in the same house, and for unknown reasons the suspect attacked the victim, stabbing him repeatedly with a kitchen knife, according to an update from a Madison Police Department incident report.

Another housemate called 911. When officers arrived, the suspect was calm and outside. He was cooperative with officers. The 26-year-old is in custody and being provided care for medical issues he had prior to last night’s attack.

He has not yet been arrested for the stabbing, according to police.


UPDATE (WKOW) — The Madison Police Department is investigating an attempted homicide after a weekend stabbing.

Police said a 26-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Sunday at about 6 p.m. He is currently in the hospital. No word on his condition.

The suspect, a man approximately 40-years-old, is in custody.

Authorities said the incident appears to be isolated and there is no additional danger to the public.


MADISON (WKOW) — One person has been taken to a hospital after a stabbing in Madison.

Madison police tell 27 News officers were called to an address in the 800 block of S. Midvale Boulevard just after 6 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a stabbing.

Police say a suspect has been taken into custody.

There is no word on the condition of the victim right now.
