MADISON (WKOW) — There was a celebration of syrup in downtown Madison on Saturday.
Aldo Leopold Nature Center held its Maple Syrup Mini-Fest at the Dream Bank on East Washington Avenue.
Kids and their families got to do some taste testing, and learn about the history and science behind the trade in Wisconsin.
“It’s important to learn about where our food comes from and our connection to nature and our connection to the land, so that’s what we’re really doing here today,” the Nature Center’s Cara Erickson told 27 News.
The Nature Center held the event off-site because of construction at its facility in Monona.
