Police K-9 helps officers arrest suspect with $15,000 in drug money

DARLINGTON (WKOW) — Darlington police K-9 “Kilo” poses with his recent bust in a Facebook photo shared by the Darlington Police Department Sunday.

According to the post, Kilo is pictured with items seized during a recent traffic stop, including over $15,000 in drug money, a handgun, and drugs.

Police say the occupant of the vehicle was taken to jail.

Kilo became the department’s first K-9 unit in 2010, and officers say his service with the Darlington Police Department is nearing an end.

They say since his arrival, Kilo has proven his benefit time and time again.
