UPDATE (WKOW) — Crews have left the scene and lanes are back open after a car crashed into a utility pole on South Whitney Way.
MADISON (WKOW) — An early morning crash in Madison is causing a backup on southbound Whitney Way Tuesday morning.
Madison Police say a 33-year-old woman hit a utility pole by the intersection with Crabapple Lane, causing the pole to shear off. That driver was arrested for her 2nd OWI offense.

Crews from Madison Gas and Electric have been working to repair the damage, but there still isn’t an estimated time for the southbound lanes of Whitney Way to reopen.
MG&E isn’t reporting any power outages related to the damage.
Nobody was hurt in the crash.
