National Guard’s Northern Lightning exercise to cause increased air traffic at night

MADISON (WKOW) — Volk Field Air National Guard Base will conduct its annual Northern Lightning exercise May 6 through May 17, according to the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs.

The department says during this time there will be increased flying activity daily until about 10 p.m.

Counties affected may include Adams, Brown, Calumet, Clark, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Jackson, Juneau, Marathon, Marquette, Monroe, Outagamie, Portage, Sauk, Sheboygan, Trempealeau, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago, and Wood.
