WAUPACA (WKOW) — A new facility being built in Wisconsin is being billed as the future of care for veterans.
Tuesday was the ceremonial groundbreaking for a new skilled nursing facility at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King near Waupaca.
It will have private rooms and bathrooms for veterans, along with new health care technology.
“Our first residents will be able to move into a safe, beautiful and modern home. This new facility will transform King and usher in a new era for WDVA of service to veterans and their families,” says Mary Kolar, Deptartment of Veterans Affairs Secretary-Designee.
Construction is expected to take two years.
