Police: Hit-and-run victim struck in crosswalk, left with minor injuries

MADISON (WKOW) — Officials say a 61-year-old man is the victim of a hit-and-run that occurred in Madison Friday evening.

According to Police Chief Koval, the victim was hit around 4 p.m. while crossing W Washington Ave. in a crosswalk heading toward Brittingham Park.

The suspect vehicle struck the victim after swerving around cars that had stopped for the pedestrian, according to police.

Authorities say the suspect drove away from the scene, and the victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
