VERONA (WKOW) — Wisconsin Brewing Company announced it will purchase Lake Louie Brewery in Arena, Wisconsin.
“After 20 great years, we maxed out our brewery,” Tom Porter, owner of Lake Louie said. “The option was to either borrow a ton of money and expand or merge with a great group of people whom I’ve known and respected for decades.”
According to a press release, conversations about the sale began about two years ago.
“We were super excited to explore this idea and bring Tom and his team into our family,” Carl Nolen, president and CEO of Wisconsin Brewing Company said. “This new collaboration will allow us to utilize our scale to expand and enhance the Lake Louie portfolio.”
Porter will continue to play a role, and Wisconsin Brewing plans to offer jobs to all of the employees of Lake Louie.
Lake Louie will continue to operate and be used for making special projects for Wisconsin Brewing and be used for new brands under Lake Louie.
The final sale is expected to be complete July 1, 2019.
