Former bookkeeper convicted of stealing from fire and EMS commissions

(WKOW) — A Lake Delton woman was convicted of stealing more than $350,000 from the local fire and EMS commissions.

Stephanie Czuprynko pleaded guilty today to a public corruption charge.

Federal prosecutors say she admitted to taking the money while she was the bookkeeper for those two commissions and that she did it to support a gambling problem.

Czuprynko faces 10 years in prison when she’s sentenced in August.
