MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — Hundreds of people lined up around the block Saturday in Milwaukee to get a chance to buy a piece of the Pabst Mansion.
Buyers snatched up furniture, flatware and even dolls and dishes from the 19th and 20th centuries during the estate sale.
The guys who grabbed a Pabst beer sign came all the way from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
“We might display it in the restaurant that we recently purchased. We might display it there. Everybody likes Pabst Blue Ribbon in the UP so it might go well there,” said Ed Thiesen.
The money raised at the sale goes to the Pabst Mansion Nonprofit, which is working to restore and maintain the home at 20th and Wisconsin.
