(WKOW) — A new bill at the federal level could make it easier to sign up for health insurance.
Senator Tammy Baldwin is one of the sponsors of the ENROLL Act, which would restore funding to the Navigator program.
Under the program, an expert works with you to find the right plan for you and your family.
But Senator Baldwin says funding has been cut by 80 percent.
“Frankly, right now we only have in-person assistance in 23 of our 72 counties. That’s not going to do right by people in our rural communities and other areas.
Baldwin says similar legislation passed the in the House last month.
