MADISON (WKOW) — Boaters filled the lakes on Saturday, but in one Madison spot it was lumberjacks.
The Midwestern Log Rolling Championship brings amateurs and pros out to Lake Wingra.
Young athletes competed Saturday morning and professionals took over in the afternoon.
Organizers say this competition attracts the best log rollers from around the world.
“It involves every muscle in your body: balance, leg strength, core strength, concentration, endurance, and these guys have trained for years just to get to know how to stay on the log by themselves. They make it look a lot easier than it is,” said event director Shana Verstegen.
The competition also raises money for Huntington’s Disease research. Click here for more information.
