MADISON (WKOW) — Gov. Tony Evers called the state budget he signed earlier this month a “victory” and doesn’t have any regrets, despite a former top Democrat calling it a “disaster.”

The governor also discusses his next goals for office and how he will fight Republicans attempts to restrict his veto powers.

Congressman Bryan Steil (R-WI) refused to answer whether or not he believes President Trump tweets two weeks ago were “racist.” Instead, Rep. Steil said it’s time to focus on policy instead of rhetoric from the president.

Plus, during Wisconsin’s record low-unemployment two state agencies team up to help formerly incarcerated individuals jobs. Secretary-designee Caleb Frostman, Department of Workforce Development and Secretary-designee Kevin Carr Department of Corrections talk about how the state budget will fund reentry programs.
