Medical examiner releases name of Edgerton man killed in bulldozer accident

UPDATE (WKOW) — Authorities released the name of the man killed when he was run over by a bulldozer in the town of Milton Sunday.

In a press release Tuesday, the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Brandon R. Clift, 30, from Edgerton as the man killed while he was working alone in the 8000 block of North Bowers Lake Road.

Authorities pronounced Clift dead at the scene.

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy Monday confirming Clift died from his injuries.

This death remains under investigation by Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department.


MILTON TOWNSHIP (WKOW) — An Edgerton man is dead after being run over by the bulldozer he was operating in Rock County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Multiple emergency crews were called to the 8200 block of North Bowers Lake Rock in Milton at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

A 30-year-old man was found unresponsive. Lifesaving measures were performed, but the victim could not be saved. He died at the scene.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was operating the bulldozer as he was doing excavating work at the property. They believe he was working alone.

The investigation is ongoing, but at this time authorities believe this was a “tragic accident.”
