WESTFORD TOWNSHIP (WKOW) — One man has been arrested after a fight broke out between two men in Westford Township on Sunday.
According to Richland County Sheriff’s Office, a complaint was received about a fight between two males involving a gun at 6.45 a.m. near the intersection of Corwin Ridge Road and Highway II.
When Richland County deputies arrived, they spoke with Thomas Zimmerman, 55, who said that he and Joseph Lobsinger, 32, were staying in campers on a property with their families when they got into an argument.
Zimmerman told deputies when he tried to leave the area, Lobsinger grabbed a gun and fired it one time, then waved the gun towards Zimmerman and yelled at him as he left the property.
Zimmerman also told deputies there were two women and a younger female still at the property.
Deputies called the Richland County Special Response Team in to help.
Authorities say the special response team used its armored vehicle to search the property and found the three females were safe.
Deputies were able to find Lobsinger later and arrested him.
There was no threat to the general public, according to Richland County officials.
Lobsinger is facing charges of domestic disorderly conduct, felon in possession of a firearm, and felony bail jumping.
