FRANKLIN, Wis. — Police say a 7-year-old was caught vaping CBD at school.
Franklin police said a teacher caught the second-grade student with the vaping device at Country Dale Elementary School, according to WISN-TV in Milwaukee.
The boy was vaping in class, investigators said. He said he got the vape device from his mother’s purse.
Police said the boy was using a “SMOK Novo” vaping device.
It looks similar to a USB flash drive.
The boy’s mother told investigators the vape device contained CBD oil.
A social worker from Child Protective Services picked up the child from school and took him to Children’s Hospital to get checked out.
He was OK, and the boy was returned to his mother. Police said no charges would be filed in the case.
School officials said they threw the vape device in the garbage.
