(WKOW) — Dairy farming is an essential part of Wisconsin’s culture, and dairy farms are an economic engine that powers Wisconsin.
But the ongoing farming crisis is directly impacting family farmers here in the dairy state.
Our special presentation, “Dairyland at a crossroads” takes an in-depth look at the challenges facing Wisconsin’s ag industry and some innovative ways that farmers are staking a claim to the future.
The program aired statewide Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 on TV stations WKOW, WXOW, WQOW, WAOW and KBJR.
In conjunction with the broadcast, and in partnership with Farm Aid and the Sept. 21 Farm Aid festival at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, the five TV stations are holding an all-day telethon Sept. 20 to raise money to support farmers in the upper Midwest.
