Aaron Rodgers plans to play against Vikings

(WKOW) — Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will reportedly try to play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, despite a knee injury.

Sources told ESPN this Sunday morning. The Packers want to make sure Rodgers is set, before making the decision to start him.

Rodgers practiced with the team Saturday. He had been held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday to rehab and have treatment.

Rodgers hurt his left knee in the first game of the regular season, last Sunday against the Chicago Bears. He still returned and helped the team to their comeback victory.

ESPN reports his knee injury could take a couple months to heal. He does not reportedly have ligament damage.  Sources say the injury is more of a “compression injury from blunt force while bent.”

Rodgers is still listed as questionable on the injury report.
