Freshman forward Dominick Mersch scored in the first to make it a 1-1 game.

Senior Jake Bunz scored his first career goal in a Wisconsin uniform, though it doesn’t count in official stats.

Stevens Point native and UW signee Cole Caufield scored two goals and an assist and tied Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane for second all-time at the U.S. National Team Development Program with 84 goals.

UW signee Alex Turcotte scored a goal and an assist. He is projected as a first-round NHL draft pick with potential to go in the top-10.

UW’s signee Owen Lindmark ended the game with two shots and an 8-4 mark on faceoffs.
