The Green Bay Packers announced on Sunday they’ve released safety, and the team’s second-round draft pick in 2017, Josh Jones. They announced they waived him with a non-football illness designation.
Jones played in 29 games with 12 starts over the past two seasons.
The move isn’t too surprising, as the NFL Network reports that Jones had asked the team for a trade. His playing time decreased from his rookie to his second season in Green Bay.
