A Frosty Night Ahead!

MADISON (WKOW) – Brisk northwest winds have brought in the coldest air of the season! Temperatures during the afternoon were well below average, and the mercury will continue to tumble tonight. Lows tonight will be generally a degree or two below freezing, which will lead to widespread frost. A FREEZE WARNING is in effect from 1 AM to 9 AM on Friday.

Temperatures will stay well below average through the weekend and well into next week, but at least it will be dry for the next week. That’s great news for area rivers, streams, and farm fields, which really need this dry stretch!
