A Slippery Commute Friday Morning!

MADISON (WKOW) – The first measurable snow of the season will hit the area overnight. Light snow has already started in western WI and will make it to Madison shortly after Midnight.

The heaviest snow will fall from midnight until 8 AM and taper off around noon. Accumulations of 1-2 inches will be possible for counties east of Dane and less than one for counties west.

It should be cold enough for some of the snow to accumulate on the roads, which should lead to slippery spots and stretches. Consequently the morning commute will likely be a slow one! Conditions should improve once the snow ends midday. The evening commute should be much improved.
