Snow to impact morning commute

MADISON (WKOW) – The first measurable snow of the season is hitting the area right now. Light snow has already started falling throughout all of southern Wisconsin.

The heaviest snow is falling between now and until 8 AM and taper off around noon. Accumulations of 1-2 inches will be possible for counties east of Dane and less than one for counties west.

It should be cold enough for some of the snow to accumulate on the roads, which should lead to slippery spots and stretches. Consequently, the morning commute will likely be a slow one! Conditions should improve once the snow ends midday. The evening commute should be much improved.
