Cold and windy, few additional snow showers

MADISON (WKOW) — Now that the persistent snow has ended, our primary focus shifts to the cold and wind.

Highs will only manage the low 30s today, but a brisk west wind with gusts to 30 mph will make it feel much colder. In fact, wind chills will have plummeted to the teens by the evening commute!

A trailing disturbance will likely generate a few more snow showers this afternoon and evening, favoring areas to the north and east. Any additional accumulation will be minimal.

While no other snow-makers are forecast in the coming days, the cold will remain. We’re not expecting to warm above 40° until next Thursday!
