Madison (WKOW)– Temperatures have been falling since early this morning, and highs today will only reach the mid-20s. Wind chills will be in the single digits and teens all day! However, tonight is when the coldest air of the season rushes in. It’s been 297 days since we felt temperatures in the single digits!  Wind chills will even be colder. It will feel like zero or even below zero in some spots tonight and tomorrow morning.

However, sky conditions will be fair, going into the upcoming weeks. But to even better news- this cold trend will not last very long. In fact, temperatures will get a little warmer this weekend and especially near the middle of next week. Highs will almost hit 40.

Next Thursday a system look to approach, and it could be close enough that it could result in rain or snow.
