MADISON (WKOW) – Temperatures will be milder today with fewer winds. Highs today will be slightly above average in the low to mid-30s. We’re expecting more sun than clouds today. Clouds will increase tonight with lows in the low to mid-20s.
A winter storm is brewing over the southern plains, but the snow from this system should stay south of our area as it moves over the nation’s midsection this weekend. The weather map is a computer model projection of snow totals into Saturday afternoon. It shows that Missouri and Illinois are forecast to see significant accumulations, with St. Louis receiving over eight inches!
If your weekend travel plans have you heading south, you’ll want to be sure to keep up with the latest forecasts. If you plan to stay in Wisconsin you may see a little light snow on Saturday. At worst it appears we could see some slippery spots.
