MADISON (WKOW) – After a wintry day Sunday with some slushy snow accumulation in southeastern Wisconsin, spring has returned for the workweek with temps on the rise.

Estimated snowfall, mainly on grassy/elevated surfaces

Low-mid 50s returned today with mostly sunny conditions and a much lighter wind out of the south.

Another weather system is developing over the Plains, and it could produce a few light showers tonight into Tuesday morning. Despite mostly cloudy skies, temps will warm into the mid 60s by Tuesday afternoon.

Then our focus shifts to a soggy and stormy finish to the week. Two potent waves of low pressure will bring multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by lingering light showers for Friday.
