April-like weather in June

MADISON (WKOW) — It might be the last day of school for some today, but it’ll feel anything like summer.

Low pressure will drift overhead today, resulting in an unseasonably grey, cool, and damp day. Rainy periods will outnumber any dry spells, and you might also hear a rumble of thunder in the afternoon. Highs will only manage the low to mid 60s, about 15 degrees below average for this time of year. Needless to say, jackets and umbrellas are must-haves.

Look for rain to gradually taper from west to east this evening, followed by clearing skies after midnight. This will set the stage for a brighter Thursday, though a brisk NW wind will keep temps in check – highs in the upper 60s.

A problem-free Friday will precede a “50-50” weekend. Click here for your 27 Storm Track extended forecast.
