MADISON (WKOW) – The active weather pattern sticks around with multiple storm chances through the holiday week.

TONIGHT
Expect another cluster of storms to impact the region, especially farther west. It will likely be weaker than our first line, but gusty winds and some small hail are possible along with a half hour or so of heavy rain and frequent lightning.

MONDAY
As a warm front moves farther north, storm coverage pushes into central and northern Wisconsin. With storms near by, there is a question of how much sun we see, but as of now, expect at least some sunshine to get temps cranking into the mid to upper 80s. With humidity levels staying high, heat index values will soar into the 90s.

Make sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks if you spend a lot of time outside.

Isolated storms are possible, mainly later in the afternoon and evening and farther north. As the line sags south, a few more showers or storms are possible overnight.

TUESDAY
As the boundary lingers around southern Wisconsin, scattered showers and storms will develop, especially PM. Conditions stay warm and humid in the mid 80s.

WEDNESDAY
The front will push south of Wisconsin on Wednesday, but we could still pop up an isolated storm or two. Temps stay warm again in the mid 80s.

4TH OF JULY
Another storm system will develop over the Northern Plains and dive into Wisconsin meaning we have the chance for more storms. Have a back up plan to any outdoor activities you have planned for the holiday!
