MADISON (WKOW) — A stormy start to Sunday was followed by a fine finish, a trend that will extend into Monday.
A cold front will press east of us tonight, allowing drier air to spill in from Minnesota. While it’ll still be muggy when you head to bed tonight, you’ll notice the refreshing change by morning. Dew points will hold in the 50s on Monday as high pressure settles in, carving out blue skies and serving seasonable highs near 80°. Just a great way to start the week.
The above-mentioned “High” will slide to the east on Tuesday, resulting a southerly breeze that’ll pull higher humidity back into southern Wisconsin. If you look closely at this story’s lead graphic, you’ll notice a cold front lurking in the Dakotas. That’s Tuesday weather, and should help trigger a few thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. At this point, it appears a greater risk for severe weather will stay just south, but we’ll be keeping an eye on it.
Wednesday through Saturday look simply fantastic as high pressure from Canada pitches camp for an extended stay. See for yourself here!
