Humidity returns Tuesday, some storms, too

MADISON (WKOW) — Not everyone will see a storm on Tuesday, but we’ll all be sweating more.

A complex of strong to severe storms will likely develop over Iowa late tonight. It appears this batch will dive to the southeast, clipping the southern half of the WKOW viewing area with only few showers by Tuesday morning (maybe a rumble of thunder). Any rough weather will stay in Iowa and Illinois. So keep the umbrella on hand for the morning commute, especially if you plan to travel south of Madison.

The rest of the day should stay mainly dry, but a S-SW breeze ahead of a cold front will pull higher humidity back into southern Wisconsin. With highs near 80° and dew points near 70°, it’ll feel more like the mid 80s by late afternoon. The cold front will trigger a few storms in NW Wisconsin first, then approach our area by late day and evening. The threat for severe weather appears low, but we’ll be keeping an eye on things.

A beautiful stretch of weather will commence on Wednesday. Check it out here!
