MADISON (WKOW) – A dense fog advisory has been issued for all of central and southern Wisconsin til 10 am.
Leftover moisture and light winds has allowed fog to form. Once that burns off mid-morning, partial sunshine will warm conditions to the upper 70s and low 80s in the afternoon.
As a frontal boundary meanders in the Upper Midwest, an isolated shower or storm may be possible at some point as well, but it won’t be anywhere near as widespread or heavy as Thursday’s activity.
Conditions will be muggy and mild with temps getting to the upper 60s.
Showers & storms will develop through the morning from SW to NE. Keep the ponchos handy for the Badgers football game, if you plan on attending.
Temps will be moderated due to the rain, with highs in the mid 70s, though it’ll still be quite humid. Scattered showers and storms are expected overnight, too.
As the system passes by, more scattered showers are possible to end the weekend, with highest chances for this occurring in our southern and eastern areas. Temps will drop to the low 70s.
We’ll pick up another 1-2 inches of rain widespread this weekend, so low-lying areas may experience some standing water as flooding will may be an issue.
